"A hundred years from now it will not matter what my bank account was, the sort of house I lived in, or the kind of car I drove...but the world may be different because I was important in the life of a child." --Kathy Davis.
I hope to be the kind of teacher that students do not forget - one who takes an interest in their lives, encourages them to do their best, and inspires them to work their hardest and make a difference in the world.
I absolutely love this quote! It serves as a great reminder and inspiration to all teachers. Education is about the well being, learning and development of the student. It is common for teachers to loose sight of the core purpose of our profession and get consumed with having their needs come before the students. Our profession is unique because at the end of every work day, we have served and made a difference in a child's life.
